Michael Goodman is a founding partner and Managing Director of SSG Capital Advisors, LLC, a leading middle market special situations investment banking firm with offices outside of Philadelphia, PA and in New York, NY. Prior to the reacquisition of SSG from National City/PNC in May 2009, he was a Director of the Special Situations Group of National City Investment Banking which had acquired SSG in August 2006. From 2001-2006, he was a Director and founding Partner of SSG Capital Advisors, L.P. From 1998-2001, he was with Berwind Financial most recently serving as a Vice President in Berwind's Special Situations Group. Prior to Berwind, he was an investment banking analyst with Schroders.

Mr. Goodman brings several years of experience providing financial solutions to companies in transition, including closing over 25 bankruptcy transactions and over 50 special situations transactions overall. His investment banking services include mergers and acquisitions for companies both in and out of bankruptcy, restructurings and the private placement of senior debt, second lien debt, subordinated debt and equity.
