Michael Gorman is a Vice President with SSG Capital Advisors, LLC, a leading middle market special situations investment banking firm with offices outside of Philadelphia, PA and in New York, NY. He works with SSG's clients across all industry sectors providing M&A advisory, valuation services and private placement of debt and equity to middle market companies in distressed and turnaround situations. He has closed numerous sell-side and financial restructuring transactions in both Chapter 11 proceedings as well as out-of-court assignments.

Most recently, Mr. Gorman was a member of the Special Situations Group of National City's Investment Bank, which acquired SSG Capital Advisors, L.P. in August 2006. He joined SSG Capital Advisors, L.P. in May 2005. Prior to joining SSG, he served as a Business Banking Lender and Credit Analyst at Sun National Bank where he was responsible for structuring loans to middle market companies across a variety of industries. Previous to Sun National Bank, he was a Co-manager for a proprietary risk arbitrage equity portfolio at CooperNeff Advisors. Additionally, he has experience in equity and debt sales to both institutional and individual investors.

Before entering the financial services industry, Mr. Gorman served as a Field Artillery Officer in the United States Army. He is an active member of the Turnaround Management Association.
