Centis Inc.’s File-Rite, New Century Direct and Custom Divisions (collectively, ‘NCD’ of the ‘Company”) are designers, manufacturers and multi-channel marketers of storage, display, organization and preservation products. NCD maintains production, sales and distribution facilities in California, as well as internationally in Mexico and Ireland.
Situation
Centis, Inc. was part of an industry wide roll up attempt focusing on office products. With the struggling economy causing falling sales at retail chains, the roll-up attempt failed under the cost of an exorbitant infrastructure.
Solution
NCD was sold to a newly formed California LLC, New Century Direct, LLC in June 2003.
