Dubin Paper Company (‘Dubin or the ‘Company’) and Hygeia Paper Company (‘Hygeia’ or the ‘Company’) are wholesale distributors of a wide array of paper products selling to a diversified customer base throughout the MidAtlantic region of the country.

Situation

Dubin and Hygeia were family-owned businesses which were operating under Chapter 11 protection. The Companies had turned their operations around and were poised to exit Chapter11 as a reorganized business. However, the companies' senior lender was not willing to continue to support the business.

Solution

SSG was retained to privately place the financing that was utilized to refinance the Companies' existing senior lender and allow the companies to successfully emerge from their bankruptcy proceedings.
