TCIM Services Inc.
Headquartered in Wilmington, Delaware, TCIM Services, Inc. (“TCIM” or the “Company”) is a privately held business process outsourcing (“BPO”) company that provides an array of customer contact management solutions to Fortune 100 clients primarily in the telecommunications and financial services industries. Founded nearly 24 years ago, the Company is a quality leader in the $18.0 billion outsourced contact center industry. The Company operates multiple domestic call centers that provide inbound customer care, customer acquisition and B2B related services.
Despite its history of quality service and strong performance, the Company experienced a decline in revenue over the last few years, primarily attributable to consolidation within the telecom industry and the challenging operating environment faced by financial services companies. The reduction in revenue left the Company with a significant overhang of capacity. On June 3, 2012, the Company filed for protection under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code.
The Chapter 11 filing allowed the Company to consolidate its operational footprint, which positioned it to be sold. SSG was retained as the Company’s investment banker. SSG’s efforts culminated in a sale to a strategic buyer, iPacesetters, LLC. The transaction was approved by the Bankruptcy Court on August 16, 2012 and closed on August 31, 2012. SSG’s experience in condensed M&A processes and Section 363 sales enabled the stakeholders to maximize the value of the Company and preserve TCIM as a going concern.
