TMA Global Elects J. Scott Victor, SSG Capital Advisors, 2015 President

Philadelphia, PA—October 8, 2014 ― TMA Global, the largest organization dedicated to corporate renewal, announced the election of J. Scott Victor, SSG Capital Advisors, LLC, as its 2015 President. The announcement was made during The TMA Annual Conference on October 1 in Toronto, Canada. Victor’s term will begin on January 1, 2015.

“I am very excited to assume the key leadership role as TMA continues to expand its international presence and drive membership growth through our successful NextGen and Network of Women initiatives,” said Victor. “As President, I will work with our global chapters to enhance local, regional, national and international programming and to create more value for our members and the industry.”

Victor is a founding partner and managing director of SSG Capital Advisors and a nationally recognized leader in the restructuring industry. With over 30 years of experience representing middle market companies in special situation transactions, he has completed over 150 sale, refinancing and restructuring transactions in North America and Europe for companies facing operational, financial or legal challenges. He is a Fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy, board member of the American Bankruptcy Institute and past President of the Consumer Bankruptcy Assistance Project. Prior to his transition to investment banking in 2000, he was a partner and a senior member of the bankruptcy and restructuring department at Saul Ewing LLP.

In addition to Victor, TMA Global’s leadership team will include current TMA President, Honorable Kevin J. Carey, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the District of Delaware, who will transition to Chairman in 2015, current TMA Chairman, Thomas M. Kim, CTP, Managing Director and Founder of r2 advisors llc, who will become Immediate Past Chair and Gregory J. Fine, CEO.

A tireless advocate of TMA, Victor has a long history of volunteerism at the local, regional and global level and served for several years on the Executive Committee of the Board, was Philadelphia Chapter President and held dozens of other leadership positions in TMA. In 2012, he was honored with the TMA Outstanding Individual Contributor of the Year award.
