Patrick D. Swanick

Patrick D. Swanick is a Vice President with SSG Capital Advisors and has more than a decade of financial services experience. Patrick is a trusted advisor to public and private companies, equity sponsors, and lenders as they navigate special situation scenarios. Drawing on extensive transaction experience across industry verticals, Patrick develops high-value, creative solutions that maximize outcomes for SSG clients.

In his role at SSG, Patrick works closely with SSG’s senior bankers, clients, and buyers, advising on a wide range of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, recapitalizations, and private placements of both senior and subordinated debt and equity. Patrick is responsible for leading the entire execution phase of transactions, including creating valuation models, drafting marketing materials, engaging with investors, facilitating diligence reviews, negotiating definitive agreements, and providing strategic recommendations to stakeholders based off process results. He also manages and mentors SSG’s analyst team and junior staff. Patrick has worked on over 40 transactions as part of the SSG team.

Prior to joining SSG, Patrick was an Investment Banking Analyst for CSG Partners, an industry-agnostic investment bank with a strategic focus on leveraged employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) transactions. While at CSG, he participated as a deal team member on over 15 transactions in the steel, oil and gas, healthcare, manufacturing, construction, and financial services industries, among others. Previously, Patrick worked as a Senior Associate for PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), where he led large-scale audit engagements for a portfolio of registered fund, alternative fund, and private real estate clients. Patrick developed a deep understanding of accounting, taxation, valuation, financial reporting, and transaction services while at PwC.

Patrick serves on the NextGen Committee for the Philadelphia/Wilmington Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association. He received the M&A Advisor’s 14th Annual Emerging Leaders Award in 2023.

Education:

  • Saint Joseph’s University, B.S. in Business Administration. Patrick was a four-year starter and captain on the Division I lacrosse team.

  • Certified Public Accountant, State of Pennsylvania
  • FINRA SIE, Series 7, 63 and 79 licenses
  • Passed CFA Program Level I
